Super thoughts to put on record

Lineman Dan Connelly returns a kickoff 71 yards against
the Packers in New England's win.
With the eve of Super Bowl XLV upon us and the over-the-top Texas Stadium ready and primed for some 100,000-plus spectators to watch the Packers-Steelers, I thought it might be a good time to put some perspective on the sports scene.  Especially given that there really isn't much else to do while watching yet another snow storm approaches.

It's going to be hard to watch the Super Bowl and not think about how the Patriots really could be representing the AFC.  But I have to give it to the Jets who came out and played with much more desire and heart, and despite all of their trash-talk during the week leading up to the game, simply wanted it more than the Patriots.  Have to tip your hat to them.  Really no excuse to play the way the Patriots did, especially at home, but seeing two teams the Patriots defeated only a month ago battle it out at Cowboy Stadium, will be a tough pill to swallow.

It's hard to believe it has been 18 months since we welcomed our little guy into the world on that hot and humid August day.  I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.  He has been such a joy and watching him grow gives us just a hint of what kind of star he is going to become.

We look forward to some better weather coming hopefully soon to return back to our favorite parks and maybe throw a ball or two around.  He's getting a lot of practice and it's a pretty sure bet that a future star athlete is in our midst.

This winter has been brutal.  Despite what many are saying, this isn't the most snow we've had, but it's been a lot.  Worse has been the ice and rain and the enormous snow banks that line the streets.  Walking little Brady has been a challenge and almost like maneuvering through an obstacle course.

The good news is that spring is coming and pretty soon the Red Sox will be starting spring training.

Will I Ever Break 90?

Yes, I play on the left side.  That is the goal.  You may ask, 90?  Well, if you have been around me on the golf course, you know that i...
